A bit about liquid glucose.

If you buy packaged sweets, it’s very likely that the product contains liquid glucose. Companies use it to keep their sweets shiny, soft, and moist for very long periods.

Liquid glucose (glucose syrup) is a thick, clear, starch‑derived sugar syrup made by breaking down starch (often corn, wheat, or rice) into glucose‑rich carbohydrates. It has moderate sweetness, a very high glycemic index, and provides “empty” calories without significant nutrients. Think about, those who are trying to reduce the sugar consumption, they are unknowingly consuming liquid glucose, which is even more harmful to the human health.

As a comparison, the glycemic index of liquid glucose is about 100, while the glycemic index of regular table sugar is about 65. This means liquid glucose, when consumed, raises blood sugar levels very rapidly, contributing to inflammation in the body, weight gain, and metabolic issues.

We set a core principle to make our sweets and snacks chemical‑free and healthiest. As part of this commitment, we made the deliberate choice not to allow liquid glucose in our products. As a result you may notice that our Besan, Boondi, and Motichoor Laddus are not as shiny, soft, and moist as the other branded packages.

Oh, by the way, our sweets contain 30% less sugar than the major branded sweets.
